Affordable Housing Bill

Affordable housing advocates are working to secure $100 million annual spending in Illinois’ capital budget for the construction and preservation of affordable housing.  House Bill 2353, which passed the General Assembly earlier this month, would amend the State Finance Act by adding new language to create an Affordable Housing Capital Fund.

City of Champaign Township, your local advocates in support of the underserved and the poorest of the poor, would like to encourage you to support this bill.  Visit www.HousingMatters.net and submit form letter in support of this bill.

Everyone who lives in poverty should have safe, affordable housing, Township believes this is a basic human right.
